Professional Achievements

Mr. Shao has deep expertise and practical experience in life and health insurance claims. He has participated in, guided and reviewed claim investigations involving more than 6,000 insurance incidents at Ping An Life. He led the handling of what was then China's largest individual life-insurance death claim, involving payment of RMB 118 million, and what was then its largest individual self-drive death claim, involving denial of RMB 30 million and coverage by CCTV's Legal Report programme.

In 2018, he innovated the CloudShare E-Connect business model and platform, enabling insurance investigations, emergency medical assistance and healthcare-service platforms. This model is now used by mainstream TPA investigation platforms in China.

In 2016, he led the implementation of direct commercial-health-insurance settlement at public Grade III Class A hospitals. The 'gold standard' fields in the medical-data network transmission and insurance system he launched have become one of China's standards for using medical data in the insurance industry.

In 2017, he created the 'Flash Claim' model, using data models to build an automated claims risk-control and review platform. More than 60% of medical-insurance claims could be paid within fifteen minutes after customers submitted photographs by phone.

In 2013, he pioneered the industry services of advance payment for critical illness claims and advance payment for special cases.
