Mr. HENRY ZHUANG HONGZHI (Partner)
Mr. Henry Zhuang Hongzhi is a founding partner
of Henry Zhuang & Partners. Mr. Zhuang graduated from the prestigious Peking
University in 1982 with an LL.B degree. He was awarded the highest
academic ranking. Thereafter Mr. Zhuang studied in Nagoya University,
Japan where he was awarded an LL.M degree in 1985 and honoured the
highest academic ranking and the Valedictorian of Nagoya University.
In addition to his extensive working experience
as a licensed practising lawyer in China, Mr. Zhuang has work experience
in law firms in Japan (Nagoya and Tokyo), Canada (Toronto), Hong
Kong and Singapore.
Besides, Mr. Zhuang has also worked in China's State Council Office for Special Economic Zone Affairs and State Council Office for Foreign Investment Affairs. In January 1993 he was qualified as a Senior Economist, and in the same month he was engaged as a Guest Associate Professor of Law at Peking University. In March 1995, he was engaged as a Guest Research Fellow at Peking University. Mr. Zhuang has written in Chinese, English and Japanese numerous scholarly works which were published in Chinese and foreign law journals and newspapers. He was also often invited to speak on Chinese laws by many forums and universities.
Mr. Zhuang is very experienced in the areas of corporate and commercial, merger and acquisition, banking and finance, foreign investment, property and conveyancing, international trade, litigation and arbitration, etc. Mr. Zhuang's working languages include Mandarin, English and Japanese.
Mr. ZHU ZHIMING (Partner)
Mr. Zhu Zhiming graduated in 1987 from Fudan University where he completed his post-graduate study in the master course of law. Thereafter he worked as a lecturer in East China University of Law and Politics, and at the same time, Mr. Zhu headed the Research Centre of Foreign Economic Laws of the university. In 1990, Mr. Zhu was qualified as an Attorney at Law in China. Thereafter he has practised in the Shanghai No.4 Law Firm, and worked in the Administrative Committee of Shanghai Wai Gao Qiao Free Trade Zone in charge of examination and approval of foreign investment projects. From 1995 to 1997, he worked in a Singapore law firm as a foreign legal advisor in Chinese law. In October 1997, he became one of the founding partners of Henry Zhuang & Partners.
Mr. Zhu has rich experience in the areas of corporate and commercial, merger and acquisition, corporate oversea listing, foreign investment, property and conveyancing, company finance, international finance, international trade, litigation and arbitration etc. Mr. Zhu's working languages include Mandarin and English.
Mr. Zhu has published more than 30 professional articles in Chinese and foreign law journals and newspapers, and more than 10 scholarly books such as "General Discussions on Foreign Economic Law". Besides, he was also often invited as a speaker in Chinese laws to give speeches for many forums and universities.
